Terms of Service – Sonnix Studios (Pty) Ltd.
Pre-production:
To ensure smooth execution, please provide all necessary documentation, scripts, references, and production details 48 hours before the shoot date. We require at least 2 business days from receipt of deposit/payment to adequately prepare for production.
Post-production:
Our goal is to deliver high-quality videos promptly. Please allow up to 7 business days per project after the final shoot date and payment received. Expedited deadlines are subject to a fee per day accelerated.
Revisions:
Clients are encouraged to provide detailed feedback within 7 business days of delivery. A 5% fee per day applies for late feedback. Three minor revisions are included.
Deadlines:
While we make every effort to meet agreed-upon deadlines, unforeseen circumstances may necessitate a 3-5 business day extension.
Quality:
All media delivered meets industry standards. For optimal quality. Production values are influenced by available resources, time allocations, and budget invested into the project.
Delivery:
Final productions will be shared via Google Drive and are deleted after 14 days. Clients may request a hard-drive copy at their expense.
Portfolio Rights:
Sonnix Studios retains the right to showcase produced projects in our portfolio.
Payment:
Deposits and balances are due as outlined for each project type. Clients obtain full rights to final content upon full payment; Subject to any third-party licensing specified before initiation of the project.
Notice of Fees:
Mutual Benefit: Our goal is for all parties to have a productive relationship and achieve a great final product realistically.
Overtime Rates:
Production (Shooting): 5% of the invoice balance per hour, invoiced before post-production.
Post-production: 2% of the invoice balance per hour.
Additional Charges:
Photography: Charged at an hourly rate.
Booking cancellations/terminations: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled shoot date will incur a 25% non-refundable fee of the total invoice.
Weather-related cancellations are excluded and may be rescheduled at no additional cost.
Minor revisions: 5% of the invoice balance.
Major revisions: 15% of the invoice balance.
Termination:
Either party may terminate the production agreement under specific conditions based on project stage. Here’s how refunds work:
- If Sonnix ends the agreement Before starting any work, a full refund is given.
- If any party ends the agreement After pre-production begins but before production (shoot) begins, a 50-75% refund is given.
- If any party ends the agreement After production (shoot) begins, but before post-production begins, a 15-35% refund is given, and all materials created up to that point will be delivered.
- No refund is given after the initiation of post-production or delivery.
Non-Payment terms
- All payments, including deposits and/or stage-based balances, must be received prior to or on commencement of each project stage. Sonnix Studios reserves the right to immediately suspend or cancel services if payment is not received as agreed. In the event of non-payment, Sonnix Studios retains any funds already received and may take legal action to recover outstanding amounts, including any costs incurred as a result of the client’s non-payment.
For post-production/animation projects:
- If the agreement ends After pre-production but before post-production starts, a 60-75% refund is given. No refund is given after post-production begins or delivery.
For pre-production-only projects:
- No refund is given after any work starts in pre-production.
- All materials and versions up to that point will be released after the final payment is received.
Note: All refunds are based on the total invoice amount, and are subject to third-party agreements and costs.
Indemnity:
Clients agree to indemnify Sonnix Studios against:
Communication Breach: The client agrees to cover Sonnix Studios and its representatives from any claims or costs resulting from a breach in communications.
Production Incidents: The client agrees to cover Sonnix Studios and its representatives from any damage, loss, or injury during production that is beyond our control.
Equipment Security: The client agrees to ensure continuous security for Sonnix Studios’ equipment and crew during production. Sonnix Studios reserves the right to refuse shooting in unsafe conditions or areas.
Confidentiality:
All parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding discussed information unless specified or in the public domain.

Discounts:
Quotations are valid for 7 business days. To secure pricing; acceptance and deposit must occur within 7 business days prior to the shoot date.
Law:
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and becomes binding upon acceptance of our invoice/quote and/or commencement of services.
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt mediation in good faith before pursuing any other legal remedies.
Additional:
This Terms of Service agreement is subject to change on a per-project basis, specified in writing before the initiation of production.
